In certain cases, the Hong Kong Police Force requires applicants for a Hong Kong Certificate of Good Conduct / Certificate of No Criminal Conviction to have a supporting letter from the Consulate General. Please first check with the Police, if a supporting letter is needed in your case!

Should you require a supporting letter, please drop in at the Consulate General anytime during the opening hours (Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 11.30am) – no appointment needed. Please bring along your passport and an address proof. The fee for issuing a supporting letter amounts to approx. 220 HKD (depending on the exchange rate), payable in cash.

Usually the supporting letter can be issued on the same day.

Please be aware that you will have to apply for the certificate personally at the Hong Kong Police Force Headquarters (14/F, Arsenal House, Police Headquarters, 1 Arsenal Street, Wan Chai) as it is mandatory within this process to take your fingerprints. The application of the certificate normally takes 4-6 weeks and it will be sent to the Consulate General.
