Wai Yin Association organised for second time learning trips to Germany for local teachers and students - supported by the Consulate General, Goethe-Institut and the German National Tourist Office

Since 2012, the Wai Yin Association, a Hong Kong charitable organisation, has organised a school project for teachers and less privilieged students in Hong Kong to experience overseas cultures. In 2013, Germany was once again selected as the destination country of this project and the project was supported by the German Consulate General. The students had to decide in advance on the routes of their trips and places to visit as well as submit estimated budgets. Prior to their departure for Germany, Goethe-Institut Hongkong had also offered the young scholars special German courses to prepare them for their stay in Germany. In addition, the Hong Kong Office of the German National Tourist Board participated in the preparations. After their trips, the students shared their experiences with the public with a photo exhibition from 5 September to 15 September. The project will continue next year.
