Signing of a Declaration of Intent between Germany and Hong Kong at Vinexpo Asia-Pacific 2012
To further deepen the co-operation between Germany and Hong Kong in wine-related businesses, the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Federal German Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection Peter Bleser and the Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of Hong Kong Andrew Wong signed on the opening day of the international wine and spirit exhibition “Vinexpo Asia-Pacific” of Hong Kong a corresponding Declaration of Intent.
At this year’s “Vinexpo Asia-Pacific”, which took place from 29 to 31 May in Hong Kong, 60 German wine producers presented in a representative common pavilion a whole range of German quality wine to the visitors. Germany is now Hong Kong's 9th biggest wine trading partner and German wines enjoy growing popularity here.
On 30 May 2012, there was in addition a press conversation with State Secretary Bleser at the German booth on German quality wine.
